Mmmm!

Proceed With CAUTION!
The followi
ng recipe may induce a sugar coma!

One of my newest friends has become a recipe swapping buddy of mine! She is absolutely one of the sweetest people I've met. Below is a recipe she makes with her stepdaughters. Enjoy!

Here is her sweet note and recipe...

Hey Candace,

Here's a really easy dessert recipe. The girls help me make it and have a lot of fun rolling up the dumplings!

Apple Dumplings

2 granny smith apples
2 sticks butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 sm can Mountain Dew
2 cans crescent rolls
1.5 cups sugar
cinnamon

Peel and core apples. Cut apples in 8 slices each. Roll each apple slice in crescent roll. Place in a 9x13 buttered pan. Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir. Add vanilla, stir, and pour over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Serve with ice cream and spoon some of the sweet sauces from the pan over the top. Then go to confession - quickly!!!

  1. I didn't try these at our Thanksgiving Bible study fellowship, but Jen has been raving about them ever since. I am making them tonight so I will let you know how they turn out. Thanks for posting.
